Anticipated/Current Projects:
- Fuel System Rehabilitation: The airport has purchased two 10,000 gallon tanks and is in the process of replacing the existing system to bring the fuel system into regulatory compliance.
- Apron/Taxiway Reconstruction: There was not enough FAA funding to competely rehabilitate all airport pavement in 2008. All aprons and taxiways received pavement maintenance in the form of crack sealant, fog sealing and pavement markings, but those areas remain in our Capital Improvement Plan for reconstruction.
- Airport Affected Area: The County Planner and our engineer have re-initiated this effort now that the runway project is complete. In 2005, the Montana Legislature revised the Montana Code Annotated to require all entities with public use airports to protect them through land use planning and adoption of an Airport Affected Area (AAA).
